Surrey League Cross Country is a great way to keep a little bit of race sharpness going through the long dull winter months of base training. The races are fast, fun, lung-busting, and free!
There's no need to enter in advance. You obviously need to be a full or associate member of Ful-on Tri to compete, and you also need to have paid the UK Athletics levy when you joined the club (we normally include this unless you specify otherwise - if you didn't pay the levy, please contact the Membership Secretary prior to the first race)
On race day, we usually aim to arrive at the venue at least half an hour before the race start time, bearing in mind that finding the start itself from the car park can sometimes involve a bit of a walk! Allow plenty of time for your journey, particularly when racing at Lloyd Park which is notoriously bad for traffic.
At the venue, find the rest of the Ful-on Tri team and the Captain or their deputy, who will have a sign-in sheet. You will be given two race numbers (for front and back), and a club vest, loaned for the race. If you have your own vest, or some other Ful-on Tri kit (e.g. tri top, trisuit, cycling top) please bring it along in case we run out of kit. Please also bring some safety pins.
We need to make sure we have complete teams for all the races, otherwise our score for the event is marked down sharply. Please make sure you tell the Captain that you're coming along to race, and let them know if you have to withdraw, so we can make sure we are fully covered.
